Today Build the Great Park Now Chairman Guy Lemmon submitted the following letter to the Irvine Planning Commission:
“Tonight is a historic occasion for the continued path towards the realization of the Great Park. Our group stood in front of you last Fall and urged you to approve the plans and programs to get the Great Park built now. You did and the process has continued on.
This year, we have monitored the progression of the project first through the City Council for approval of the program elements this Spring and now to you for the final modification to the Master Plan. We remain very interested in seeing this important project move forward and fully support you approving this modification tonight.
We look forward to standing along side the Planning Commissioners who have moved the Great Park forward at the ground breaking for the Great Park Sports Complex later this year and eventually enjoying the fruits of this important planning effort.”
