Irvine residents who successfully urged the City Council to accept the FivePoint Communities offer to quickly finish the Great Park

Letter from Planning Commissioner Chairman Anthony Kuo and Commissioner Greg Smith

This weekend Irvine residents received a letter* from Irvine Planning Commissioners Anthony Kuo and Greg Smith urging support for the Great Park plan that comes before the City Council on Tuesday, November 26 at their 4pm meeting at City Hall.

Specifically, the letter tells residents to call Mayor Pro Tem Lalloway who has voted to delay the project to get the deal done.  Lalloway, a Republican voted with the only two Democratic members of the Council in favor of further delays that jeopardize the $176 million in funds offered by Five Points Communities to build and operate the park, but also at least 4,000 jobs that will leave Irvine if the deal does not get signed this year.
