Last night was a huge disappointment for our committee and for the 2,000 residents who attended the City Council meeting in hopes of witnessing a historic vote to finally build the Great Park…without taxpayer money.  Unfortunately, Mayor Pro Tem Lalloway chose to vote against the deal.

When Broadcom announced their intentions to stay in Irvine and bring 4,000 jobs closer to the Great Park, the crowd cheered and some council members applauded, Lalloway did not, he acted as if the jobs didn’t matter.

Build the Great Park Now will not quit, the 3,000 families who have signed up to support our cause and the future of the Great Park are too important to let one council member stop progress.  Please keep telling friends to sign up at www.BuildtheGreatParkNow.com – we will keep you posted on what comes next.
